Common questions

How do I sign in or create an account?

Use Create an Account on Welcome, or Sign In if you already have one. From the app, the top-right account button and Profile → Account open account controls. Enter your email and the newest emailed code. The optional phone field is contact information; SMS sign-in is not available yet. Never send a code to support.

Why can’t I use Cloud AI?

In Account → Cloud Settings → AI Data Sharing, choose whether to share messages for AI processing. During beta, your account must also be eligible and usage limits apply. An account alone does not turn sharing or backup on. If access is unavailable, contact support. Local logging remains available; repeated retries do not bypass limits.

Where are my workouts on a new device?

Signing in alone does not sync history. On the original device, explicitly enable Cloud Workout Backup and upload a snapshot. On the new device, sign into the same account and review Cloud Backup & Restore. Restore requires empty local workout history. Keep the original device and any exports until you have checked the restored copy; do not delete workouts just to troubleshoot.

How do I change a logged set?

Open the exercise and edit its saved set rows, or describe the correction in workout chat. Name the exercise and identify which sets should change. Check the saved rows after the action. The header Undo/Redo arrows can reverse supported changes while available; they do not undo an account deletion or recall data already sent to providers.

What is the difference between the two microphones?

The microphone inside a text or search field dictates into that field and does not send it. The floating assistant records an editable command; Stop ends recording, then Send runs a supported request. Review the transcript first. Settings commands can run locally; requests needing Cloud AI use your sharing choice. Permissions are required, and speech recognition may be unavailable or mishear you.

Where are Journal and Recent Chats saved?

Both are in Profile and stay on this device, separated by account and device-only history. They are excluded from workout exports, cloud workout backup and device backup. Export each separately before removing the app. Journal reviewed details do not automatically create meals or workouts. Deleting a Recent Chats receipt does not undo its command; related workout chat may still be in workout history.

How does personalization use my answers?

Your Profile & Training Goals offers an optional local voice/text introduction and guided questions. Skip, type or review before saving. Only the fields you approve are saved to your Supabase account, including any lifestyle notes you keep. The flow is not a cloud-model interview. AI Preferences is a separate reviewed choice; your full profile, Journal and profile picture are not automatically sent with AI requests.

Is my profile picture uploaded?

A photo selected from Apple Photos or a built-in avatar is saved only on this device for the current account/history. It is not sent to Cloud AI or included in workout exports, cloud workout backup or device backup. Choose a built-in avatar to replace the saved photo. Sweat does not delete the original photo from Apple Photos.

How do I manage permissions?

Use Profile → Privacy & Permissions for app controls, and iOS Settings for Location, Motion & Fitness, Microphone and Speech Recognition. Health permissions are managed through Apple Health. Permissions are separate choices; turning one on does not start a recording. General dictation can use Apple services; personalization voice input requires on-device recognition or typing.

How do I delete my information?

Delete This History in Workout Data removes the open local workout history. Journal and Recent Chats have their own deletion controls; the cloud-copy control removes only the stored snapshot. To delete the account, use Profile → Account → Delete Account, request a fresh email code there, verify it and confirm. Successful deletion signs you out, returns to Welcome and clears that account’s local workouts, Journal, Recent Chats and picture on that device. Other devices, exports, device backups and Apple Health records are separate. A local-only testing reset does not delete your cloud account.

How do I report a problem?

Open Profile → Report an Issue. Describe what happened, using text or dictation. You can separately choose workout set details and individual messages; preview everything before sharing. Save a JSON report or compose an email to support@sweat-ai.com using configured Mail, then choose Send yourself. No report is sent automatically. Routes, Health imports, check-ins, profile pictures and credentials are not automatically attached. You can also email app/iOS versions, steps and a redacted screenshot. Do not send passwords, verification codes or a full history export. Reports and attachments are accessed by the operator and deleted within 90 days after resolution; cleanup is manual.

Can I view my workouts on the web?

Sign in to the workout viewer with the email already verified in your iPhone app. After verification, review the notice and choose Load my cloud backup. This downloads the full saved snapshot into your browser, which can include sensitive data even though only workout/set/basic activity details are displayed. Check its saved time: it is not live sync. The page cannot edit, upload, restore or delete workouts. Reloading/leaving or 15 minutes of inactivity clears the page sign-in. Sign out when finished; if offline, server revocation cannot be confirmed.

Is Sweat AI medical advice?

Sweat is a workout logger and planning aid, not a medical service. AI responses and optional progression targets can be incorrect. Review suggestions and do not treat sleep, soreness or nutrition check-ins as medical assessments. Trainer tone changes reply style only; Unfiltered language requires a separate opt-in. For medical concerns, consult a qualified professional.
